How to practise japa
- Sit comfortably with a straight spine and take a few slow breaths. Set an intention for your practice.
- Choose a mantra that is meaningful to you, and say it aloud, as a whisper, or silently in the mind.
- Tap once at the end of each repetition. Let the rhythm settle with your breath; there is no hurry.
- When a mala is complete, pause for a moment of stillness before you begin the next.
